The Driftpile Band is situated 30 kms. west of Swan River (or 3 hours and 15 minutes northwest of Edmonton)

The Driftpile Reserve itself is over 15,000 acres in size and sprawls along 10 kms of sandy shoreline on the south side of Lesser Slave Lake.

Highway #2 runs directly through the reserve and provides good access to the lake.

The Driftpile Band also enjoys a stable political environment and welcomes
the prospect of developing tourism on the reserve.
With relatively high unemployment, the project represents

COMMUNITY WELLNESS DAY

DPCN is committed to a healthy community. We are hosting a community wellness day, complete with fun activities, community candle light vigil, entertainment, community dinner and informational booths. We will end with a comedian DeRick Starlite. Please bring your entire family to attend.

Location: Driftpile Pow Wow Grounds (Weather Permitting)
Supper at the DPCN Community Hall @ 5:00PM

There will be two groups based on registrations:

Ages 9 - 12 (1 Day)

August 12th, 9:00AM - 4:00PM

Ages 13 - 17 (2 Days)

August 13th & 14th, 9:00AM - 4:00PM

Please Note: All participants must have a woman figure (mother, aunt, grandmother) to be present with them all day.

Lunch & snacks will be provided.
